About BuildingFigures

BuildingFigures makes free calculators for home building and renovation projects — lighting layouts, masonry, framing and remodel costs.

How the calculators are checked

Every calculator shows its method on the page, uses a worked example you can check by hand, and is covered by automated tests before it goes live. Results are planning estimates: always confirm quantities with your supplier and work with a licensed professional where your local code requires one.
